Linktree is the default choice for a “link in bio”.
It is also the lazy choice.
Let’s be real. Using the free version of Linktree looks basic. It screams “amateur”.
It works, sure. But it doesn’t do you any favors.
The problem with Linktree #
Linktree solved a problem years ago. Now, it creates one for your brand.
It forces you into a box. Literally.
- It looks tacky: Unless you pay up, you are stuck with the same three boring themes as everyone else.
- It’s not your brand: Their logo is huge. It’s at the bottom of every page. You are advertising them, not yourself.
- It’s a rip-off: Want to remove the logo? Want to change a font? That will be $6 a month. Paying a subscription just to list some links is insane.
Your link page is the first thing people see. Do you want it to look sloppy?
The solution: Carrd #
Carrd is a website builder. It’s simple, it works, and the free version is actually useful.
I built a free “Social Links” template on Temply.studio for you.
It replaces Linktree. And it looks 10x better.

Why this template wins #
- Total Control: No more rigid boxes. Change colors. Change fonts. Move stuff around. Make it yours.
- Actually Free: No monthly fees for basic design features. You don’t need to pay to look good.
- Looks Pro: We designed this to look like a real website, not a laundry list of links.
- No Hijacking: No massive platform logos stealing your spotlight. The focus is on you.
The pro move: get a domain #
If you want to look legitimate, you need a custom domain.
links.yourname.com looks pro.
carrd.co/random-string looks careless.
To do this, you need Carrd Pro Standard.
Here is the kicker:
Linktree charges you $6-10 a month for pro features. Carrd charges $19 A YEAR.
That is not a typo. For the price of two months of Linktree, you get a full year of Carrd Pro. Custom domains, forms, analytics. The works.
It is the best deal in no-code. Period.

How to build it (3 steps) #
It is stupidly easy.
- Get the Template: Go to Temply.studio. Pick the free “Social Links” template. Click the link. It opens in Carrd.
- Edit: Click text to type. Click buttons to add your links. Swap the photo. Done.
- Publish: Hit the save icon. Pick a name. Click Publish.
That’s it. You have a pro link page.
Stop settling #
Don’t use tools that make your brand look cheap.
Grab the template. Fix your bio.
